Wanderlust 108- Miami

I went to Wanderlust 108 and I'm still high off it. It was one of thee best self-care practices that I've ever done for myself. Wanderlust 108 is the world's only mindful triathlon. It combines mindful activities starting with a 5k run, yoga, and meditation. It's a celebration of the mindful movement. I heart going to events like this. When I saw the opportunity to go, I went for it.

Wanderlust Arch

The arch was the meeting point for the start of the 5k. The location for the event was in Miami on historic Virginia Key Beach. There's a lot of history on that beach and I will do a follow up post on it. It was a beautiful run. Even though some parts of the beach had debris/damage due to Hurricane Irma, that didn't stop the running. Take that Irma!

After the run, it was yoga with Chelsey Korus. Chelsey is one of the top yoga instructors in the country. She's been teaching yoga since the age of 15 and has been going ever since.

Last but not least, was meditation with Dave Smith. Dave is a buddhist meditation teacher, addiction treatment specialist, speaker, and author.

After all the mindfulness, I went to get lunch then off to my scheduled activities. I walked around to check out some of the vendors. The adidas dome was super cool. I meet Barbara, owner of Jacq's Organics and international holistic health coach Koya Webb. It was such a great moment. I also meet other people from all walks of life.

AIReal Yoga

I've been wanting to do aerial yoga for the longest time. I finally got the chance to do it while at Wanderlust. *scratches off bucket list* Aireal Yoga is done using a looped fabric that swivels freely. It's designed for all levels of yoga. I really enjoyed this class and I was a fool on the hammocks. Just straight clownin'. *saves up coins to get a yoga hammock so I can spread my wings like a butterfly*

Wanderlust partnered with No Kid Hungry. For every ticket that was purchased $1.08 was donated to provide healthy meals for kids in need. I'm glad to have played a part for a great cause. Words can't explain how much I loved this event. I will definitely be back again and again and again. The music played by DJ Drez was exactly what I needed. I left the event feeling recharged and I really didn't want to leave. I would highly recommend Wanderlust to anyone looking for a self-care event. I can't wait for the next one.

  1. Sounds like a great event. I like the mix of activities. As a fellow foodie lunch must have been uneventful since you did not go into detail. Although you did state you are still high. LOL

    1. Ha! Lunch was rice bowls. I didn't go into detail because it was the usual. Didn't want to bore anybody with it. LOL. But it was good and there was other stuff that came with lunch.

Are you planning on going to one?
