It's been awhile since I've done a restaurant review. I'm excited to share Fibrre (pronounced just like Fiber). Fibrre is a plant based restaurant whose mission is to raise your standard to eat more plant based foods (also black owned).
I found out about Fibrre at the VegFest I went to. They've been in the area for about a year and I had no idea. Mainly because they're located behind this jewelry store and it's kind of hard to see while driving. But I made plans to check them out. Take a look below!
I walked in and didn't see a menu so I asked for one. I'm thinking I was going to be handed a menu but nope. I looked to my left and this is what I saw....
Pretty cool! I'm sure when most of us go out to eat we expect to see huge colorful menu boards placed all around. Anyways, I placed my order Dallas style. While I waited, I was amazed at the size of the store and furnitures used. Very very minimal. None of the bling bling going on. Even though the store design is small, it was efficient.
Food is ready! The packaging is made from biodegradable and/or recycle materials. They also have the option of ordering online to help reduce paper consumption.
Salmon Wrap- Dallas style (kale, collard, tomato, onion, cucumber, VBQ sauce, Vanch dressing) with sweet potato as my side and mango limeade as my drink. Yes! I was totally satisfied and will definitely be back for more. Don't believe the hype that healthy eating doesn't taste good. My motto is don't knock it 'till you've tried it.
So glad I went to that festival because I would have never known about this place. I wish them much success and can't wait to try EVERYTHING on the menu. This is a place vegans and non-vegans will enjoy.
