DIY- Terrarium Herb Planters

So I've been growing my own herbs and the time has come to transfer them to a different home. I've been looking for ways to make it happen and the net didn't disappoint. I thought this was a super cool idea.

I have a habit of holding on to items to be used later on. I have no idea what I'm going to use them for, I just know it will be used for something. One was a jar of coconut oil and the others I got from the farmers market. I think they had sauces or jellies in them.

  1. Add decorative rocks- these rocks acts as drainage they soak up water well
  2. Add your potting mix (preferably organic)- don't fill it up all the way you want to leave some room to add your herb(s)
  3. Gently remove the root ball from seed tray
  4. Transfer root ball to jar adding potting mix as needed and watch it grow some more
You can do this with just about any herbs that you are growing. The herb in this post is basil but I also did the same with parsley. I will update how things are going as I go along this "growing my own herbs" journey.
