"Clueless" Reviews- Shea Moisture Cosmetics

I was finally able to walk into a local Target and buy Shea Moisture make-up products. I was literally on my way to Sephora when I made a stop there first to pick up a few things. While there I decided to stop by the make-up aisle. I was doing my usual just browsing knowing very well I won't be making a purchase. *Hyperventilating* I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that they were finally carrying Shea Moisture's cosmetics.

My trip to Sephora was canceled that day. Take a look at what I picked up.

Color Correcting Cream $15.99

An all in one cream that primes, corrects, moisturizes, brightens, conditions, and protects the skin. Formulated with natural ingredients and blended with nourishing Shea Butter and antioxidant rich vitamins C & E for super moisturization without clogging pores.

I love that this is an all in one product. I used a small amount using my fingertips and then blending throughout my face. It went on smooth and seems like it did what it was suppose to.

Eyeshadow $5.99 (Taylor)

Isn't she beautiful? A mineral eyeshadow that caught my eye. I've been looking for a color like this so when I saw it, I just had to have it. I would recommend that you use an eye primer when using this product. I tried it with and without the CC Cream and the results weren't that great. So use your favorite eye primer for better results. Other than that I was satisfied with the look of it.

Ultra Curl & Define Mascara $8.99

Formulated with nourishing Shea Butter, Vitamin E, Panthenol, Aloe Leaf Juice, and Nettle Extract to condition and strengthen lashes.

The bristles are a little different from what I'm used to. They are short which causes a lot of wiggling to coat lashes. I prefer curved bristles mascara and I was using a well known drug store brand for years which made application easy. No biggie though, as I was able to coat my lashes with not much of a mess.

Foundation $14.99

A weightless shea serum foundation with a natural finish. I'll be honest and say that I'm not a fan of liquid foundation. This is my first time in about 10 years that I decided to try it again. We just never got along no matter how much I tried to like it. The product description won me over, but did I end up loving it?

I used my fingers to dot my five head forehead, chin, and cheeks. Then blending using one of my make-up brush. So far, I'm still playing around with this product to see if it's a keeper or not.

Wet/Dry Pressed Powder $14.99

A custom blend of powders that helps absorb excess oil and softens fine lines, while Shea Butter nourishes skin naturally. It can be used wet or dry. When dry it offers light luminous coverage for a fresh faced look. When wet it offers a full super creamy coverage, use as a spot concealer, or all over airbrush look.

I used it dry and I'll play around with it wet later on. I like the coverage that it gave me and I prefer it more than the foundation. I'm more of a mineral/pressed powder kind of girl.

Overall, I love the fact that my skin was not irritated by these products. My favorites would be the eyeshadow and pressed powder. Again I'm still playing around with the others to see what works and what doesn't. Other than that I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase. I will definitely be checking out more of their products. These products are...

-Black girl friendly
-Natural ingredients
-Affordable
-Black owned (Majority)

All this had me like...

Oh... *in my Biggie voice* There I is

I know, I know boring. I'm pretty simple with my look and this would be perfect for my transition.
