Vegan Bruh- Robert

This vegan bruh says be honest with yourself

How long have you been a vegan? I have been a vegan for over five years.

Was transition easy? I was already a vegetarian, so it wasn't that big a jump. After studying the effects of dairy on the body I was finally able to end my love affair with cheese.

Any tips/advice for someone interested in being a vegan? Be honest with yourself and study the effects of food on your body and on the planet. When you can see for yourself how being vegan fits into a sustainable and healthy world you'll never look back.

What's your favorite vegan recipe? I'm a sucker for my wife's broad noodle salad!

Black male vegans/vegetarians are rare but seems to be growing in popularity. Why do you think that is? I think it's the same problem as every other culture moving into 21st century. Meat used to be so hard to come by and so we didn't really eat that much of it. When we started mass producing it, people forgot that and just filled their plates.

But black males and everyone else on the planet are slowly waking up to the fact that we have the technology and the knowledge to eat a plant based diet and feel great.

Vegans are sometimes known for being extreme. What's the one thing you want people to know about vegans? Vegans can fly. It just seems like we are speaking from the moral high ground because you haven't checked out the actual facts of animal based products. When you do you'll be flying too!

Has it had an impact in other areas of your life? For sure. Not only have I managed to minimize harm while enjoying my time on this planet but I am also able to enjoy great health, low stress levels, while leaving a smaller carbon footprint.

Is there anything you like to add? I want people to think about the human perspective when discussing veganism. Yes plants have feelings but from a human perspective it's hard not to see a real difference between killing a young animal and uprooting a carrot. There is no way to be absolutely right but it's hard not to see the truth when argued like that.
