Green Light- Tierra

There are ZERO harmful effects to this eco-sista lifestyle

How long have you been eco-friendly? Since 2008

Why did you choose to be eco-friendly? Simply, I just grew. It's like a domino effect ... I started to pay attention to first the things I ate. I then started to educate myself on other things I simply did not know about. You hear people say stay woke. I did not know I was sleep until I realized how my body responded when I began to eat better. I felt if my body responds to food, my environment equally will respond better if I am just selective with it. I expanded my human existence with consciousness. You can't unlearn things! I have a duty beyond myself to humanity and the planet.

What do you like about it? There are ZERO harmful side effects to my lifestyle. I love the people I have attracted since I have grown. I love the way my existence feels... humanity. It's nothing but total goodness.

Did you face any challenges? If so, what was/is the biggest obstacle(s)? I honestly feel my only challenges were during social settings. When you grow but everything around you stays the same that's tough.

Any tips/advice for someone looking to be more eco-friendly? Just make a choice. Honestly! And then take it one day at a time. It's a process, a journey, like everything else.

Going green can be complex. This discourages a lot of people. There's really no "right" way it's basically trying to do something than nothing at all. I sometimes feel like a green hypocrite. Do you feel that way sometimes? I believe in learning, learning everything. I believe in unlearning. The only time I feel like a hypocrite is when I think I have it all figured out. I feel that you can do the best you can with what you know and when you know better just do better... And, apologize to your body. LOL. It's a humbling journey.

You know I gotta ask, How long have you been natural and how do you keep it so FLY? A solid 4 years I have been natural with the exception of laundry detergent. I reflect nature in its true essence. That is how I stay so fly. I love being someone who reflects "rawness" in definition and in truth.

Is there anything you like to add? Keep learning. Apologize. Be still. Listen to the trees. Listen to your body. Keep seasoned friends around. Don't over season your foods. Let go it's apart of growth. Sit by the water. Turn off the TV. Treat people well. Eat with good people. Run. When you can't run, walk. Activity happens when we are active. Eat a rainbow. Follow the plants.
