A vegan bruh who made the choice to go vegan because of how he saw life
How long have you been a vegan? I have been a vegan for about 2 years.
Was the transition easy? I was vegetarian at first and I haven't consumed meat in about 8 years so the change from vegetarian to vegan was not difficult.
Any tips/advice for someone interested in being a vegan? My advice to anyone who is the least bit curious about being a vegan and the benefits of becoming one is to educate, educate, and educate yourself. Don't take one persons word. Look at the multiple experiences and studies. Also YouTube offers great information on vegans. Feel free to follow my channel as I give healthy food tips, vegan food recipes like my infamous "Vegan Fried Chicken", and workout videos as well. This is a journey that I'm willing to on together with anyone who wants to begin living the vegan lifestyle.
What's your favorite vegan recipe?
Black male vegans/vegetarians are rare but seems to be growing in popularity. Why do you think that is? There is definitely a growing trend of black men going vegan. I know there is an awakening and awareness being brought to the attention of the next generation. I believe this is happening because of social media and the outbreak of health issues the black community is dealing with. Change has to come and for that reason research and educating oneself of what one can do to better their health goes into effect. Once they start down this rabbit hole what they find often surprises them.
Vegans are sometimes known for being extreme. What's the one thing you want people to know about vegans? I made the choice to go vegan because of the way I saw life. I started to understand that to consume another living organism or being as food or what they produce (milk, honey, and eggs) was not a very responsible thing to do. I felt as though I was gambling with my body not knowing exactly what animals consume actually scared me and for that reason I wanted to take my life and health into my own hands. I began to research and one of the first videos I can remember seeing was "If slaughterhouses had glass walls" after that video I was done and began to really wakeup. I realized what I was doing to myself, animals, and even the planet.
Eventually, I saw the documentary "Cowspiracy" and it really helped to educate me on the effects of what a meat base diet is doing on the planet in a slaughtering way. Not to mention the detriment it has on the human health. So, I used myself as an example and started to not only teach others but show them by my example how the effects of a plant based diet can turn your health around. See I struggled with my weight even as a vegetarian but when I went vegan things began to really click for me in a way that was so simple. I just wanted to help more people see what was right in front of them.
Has it had an impact in other areas of your life? One person asked me, Do you see the impact I have on people? Honestly, I don't. I have gained a following and quite a few people came to me with curious questions and sincere gratitude for introducing them to the vegan lifestyle but I know for all those that don't say anything I know their watching how much I affect change. I will continue to spread the vegan way until I leave this planet. It was shared with me and for that reason I too will do my part.
I love meeting, speaking, and educating people about the vegan lifestyle and the many benefits it has. You can help both yourself and the planet by going vegan. It's more important than most understand.
Is there anything you like to add? I thank you for the opportunity to express to you my thoughts and opinions on this matter. If you have any questions please feel free to let me know. Much Vegan Love!
