It's flip-flops/sandals/open toe season. If you're a FL resident like me that season is year round. I've been hiding my toes lately because I've gotten a lil
lazy. I finally got the chance to browse the net for some DIY's. If you can't tell by now, I'm a huge fan of them. I found a few recipes here and there and even though I'm not a fan of using food when it comes to these kind of DIY's (I rather eat them), I readily had the ingredients available and decided to give it a try.
-Plain Greek Yogurt
Blend pineapples in blender; transfer to bowl and add 1 tablespoon of yogurt and mix well; transfer mixture in another container and add brown sugar. Later, scrub mixture on foot.
*Pineapples in addition to being yummy in your tummy is good for your skin as well. It contains enzymes which is a natural exfoliant. That's codeword for scrubbing away dead skin cells to make way for the new ones.
*Brown Sugar is also a great exfoliator. It's one of my favorite ingredients in my face mask. It's an expensive ingredient that provides a handful of benefits.
*Greek Yogurt provides the moisture needed to keep the skin healthy looking.
Overall, my experience with this was a positive one. The smell of the pineapple had me feeling like I was on a tropical getaway.
Again I don't like using food when it comes to these kind of projects but I'm going to be doing one more that caught my eye. It pulls double duty so if I end up really liking it one of my products will be replaced.
