This is an update I want to share and hope no one has to go through the feeling of being used by someone who they think they can trust. Many of you might know that I played a major role in establishing Black Minimalists as evidenced below in a tweet that I sent. I got a response and the rest as they say is
history a disaster.
Fast forward to now (April 2016), I no longer have access to the Black Minimalists account because I started asking questions like Who, What, When, Where, and How. This person wasn't liking the fact that I was speaking up about her shady ways. She established herself as a leader and the ONLY founder of Black Minimalists. When I asked her why there was no discussion about it before? This is her response… it wasn't at the forefront of my mind when we started.
Oh Really! But making yourself an automatic leader and founder was though? She thought that I should have known that it was established. Also, the reason she's a leader and only founder is because she has content and met black minimalists in real life. Ain't that some shit?
I'm the one that was ACTIVELY growing, engaging, and getting hosts for the chat. I initiated our first one-on-one call and made it clear that when it comes to Black Minimalists, WE communicate the information with each other. I'm sure she don't recall that ever happening. This would have been the perfect time for her to say what she needed to say. There was no need for me to think I wasn't a co-founder.
Meanwhile, she was plotting and had her own agenda. She told me that even if I didn't get involved it would have existed without me. When I asked her when would she have follow through on it? All I got was *CRICKETS*
It wasn't until I called her out on her bullshit it was then that she offered me the title of co-founder. I was so insulted by that because there should be no offering it should be AUTOMATIC. The chat wouldn't be where it is now if I hadn't gotten involved. This is a lesson learned and I totally understand why certain people are the way the are online.

Below is a blog post I wrote back in January clearly showing the exchange and how it all started.
Ask and you shall receive. I was on Twitter one Saturday evening when I asked my fellow minimalists if they knew of any chats surrounding minimalism.
In addition to being more eco-friendly, I'm also on the journey to minimalism. I blogged about it here.
Yolanda, who I had the pleasure of collaborating with before responded with the tweet below.
We most definitely did!
I'm excited to introduce and invite you to our first Twitter chat that will take place on February 4, 2016 @ 7pm. Follow our Twitter account at Black Minimalists to stay up to date with the growing community of black minimalists.
