Random Pics- Nov 2015: What I'm Trying

I just want to share some of the things that I'm trying as I go along this journey. I decided to re-visit a natural food store and picked up a few items.

These cereals were on sale and they both reminded me of cereals form back in the day. Both are organic and GMO free.

Whole Grain Cinnamon Crunch- a healthier version with 12 grams of whole grains per serving, low in fat, and a good source of calcium.

Whole Grain Raisin Bran- another healthier version with 28 grams of whole grains per serving, low in fat, and an excellent source of fiber.

I was feeling the cinnamon crunch more than the cinnamon. It wasn't sugary and I did find myself drizzling honey on it to keep my taste buds happy. You can check out my post on whole grains here.

Didn't really taste a difference but it's good to know they are natural, whole grain feed, and cage free.

I decided to try this but not for washing my clothes. I was having some mold issues in the bathroom. I went out and bought some eco-friendly products that promised to get rid of the issue. Those products didn't work at all. So, I went the DIY route and I found a few recipes and it still didn't work.

I used regular bleach and the mold was gone on contact. While I was browsing the aisle I saw that this version of bleach was on sale. I looked at the ingredients and LOL'ed. It only had two ingredients, drumroll please…. water and hydrogen peroxide. I went ahead and bought it to give it a try. I thought maybe they used a "special kind of water and peroxide".

The verdict I will continue using regular bleach. I tried and I'm not going to feel guilty about it.

A South African 100% organic fair trade red wine with no added sulfites. It's also vegan friendly. I had no idea . I thought all wine was made with no animal products. I found an interesting article that broke it down.

It was an interesting read but at this point, it really doesn't matter to me if my wine is vegan or not. This wine was ok. I'll be trying more and try to be more thorough with my review. That's if I don't get tipsy with it.
