INGREDIENTS
-Shrimp (shells removed)
-1 Lemon (cut in half and thinly slice; use other half for lemon juice)
-Olive Oil
-Apple Cider Vinegar
-Old Bay Seasoning
-Seasoned Salt
-Garlic
-Dill
-Parsley
-Onions
-Mustard Seed
-Celery Seed
-Bay Leaves
Combine all ingredients (except the shrimp) together in a bowl mix well and set aside. I used about a tablespoon for each and added more or less as needed. The olive oil and ACV I was mostly eyeballing but about half a cup of each is good.
In a pot of boiling water add the shrimp and cook for about 2 minutes or until they turn pink. Drain and add to pickling liquid.
I put mines in mason jars and refrigerated until I was ready to eat. This was my first time making and trying this dish. *In my Bubba Gump voice* I've had shrimp with grits, fried shrimp, garlic shrimp, BBQ shrimp, you get my drift. I love shrimp but I wasn't feeling this pickled version.
I found this recipe while flipping the pages at a free cooking class and it looked good but I didn't like it. Have you ever tried pickled shrimp?
