I'm back with another protective style. The first round of stylin' was a success and I decided to keep it going. I bought 4 packs of Kanekalon Jumbo Braid (1B) @ $1.99 each but I only used 2 and a 1/2 packs of it. I also bought one pack of Super Jumbo purple hair (I was debating with myself for the longest time, should I or shouldn't I) @ $.89 a pack and only used half a pack. I then mixed half of the 1B with the purple hair and went to work.
I started parting my hair (this is not a full head of hair by the way) in a U-shape/horseshoe like pattern. I continued braiding in that pattern until I got to the top and made a side part. Then it was time for some cutting and burning. I wanted feathered tips but it didn't really come out the way I wanted so I got creative. I pulled out my medium size perm rods to help me get my desired look.
The next day my results were better than I expected. This style reminded me of when I straightened my hair but with braids.
PROS:
-Very budget friendly
-Hair was soft, shiny, and easy to work with
-Versatility (so many styles I can't wait to do)
CONS:
-So far, I have nothing negative to say about this hair other than my tips weren't looking the way I wanted but that's kind of my fault since I have two left hands.
