Green Light- Loonie

Making safer alternative choices is what this eco-sista likes about going green

How long have you been eco-friendly? 3 years so far

Why did you choose to be eco-friendly? After finally seeing what's really going on with pollution and it's affect on our atmosphere and wildlife I came to the conclusion if we don't take care of the world we have now our future generations won't have a healthy world to live in and they'll miss out and a lot of the animals and other natural luxuries we still have today.

What do you like about it? I like the feeling that I get from doing good things for our environment and how easy it is to make safer alternative choices to support going green.

Did you face any challenges? If so, what was/is the biggest obstacle(s)? The biggest obstacle for me is when other people I associate with don't feel it's necessary to at least try and be more eco-friendly.

Any tips/advice for someone looking to be more eco-friendly? Think about the benefits and the future.

Going green can be complex. This discourages a lot of people. There's really no "right" way it's basically trying to do something than nothing at all. I sometimes feel like a green hypocrite. Do you feel that way sometimes? Sometimes yes, because at the end of the day we all make mistakes but that's okay. As long as we learn from what we do wrong and try hard not to repeat it.

You know I gotta ask, How long have you been natural and how do you keep it so FLY? I have been natural since 2009. I use Alikay Naturals products. They are an all natural organic product line sold throughout the world on Alikay Naturals and also in Target locations. I make sure it's moisturized daily with my Lemongrass Leave In conditioner and I wrap my hair in a silk wrap every night. I hardly use heat on my hair maybe once a year for length check ;)

Is there anything you like to add? I just want to stress how important it is to expand in an eco-friendly world. Living this way will not only benefit us as individuals now but promote a safer and healthier environment for our future.
