Workout Of The Week- Side Plank

Another clueless workout to help with anyone's fitness goal. This side plank is quickly becoming one of my favorite workouts. It's similar to one of my yoga poses (the plank), the only difference is I'm on my side. Doing side plank helps strengthens the core.

 What is core strength?

Based on what I've read so far… It's the center of our body. The abdominals, obliques, lower back, and gluteus maximus (aka da bootay). It helps us move, sit, pick things up, and git your workout on. Can you imagine if it wasn't there??? There are tons of benefits as always with any workout. 

My goal is to tighten and tone those abs. I stay in this pose for 30 seconds on each side and repeat when necessary. Don't let this pose fool you. You will feel the burn and results will be worth it.
