Green Light- Nicole

An eco-sista who says anyone can go green in some aspect of their life

How long have you been eco-friendly? I would say within the last year and a half I've been eco-friendly

Why did you choose to be eco-friendly? I think as I got older I realized that saving energy was essential and also living in a clean safe environment became more important to me.

What do you like about it? I love the fact that you can do little things to be eco-friendly such as turning off the lights in the rooms that you are not using and using a thermostat that is programmed to only heat the house when you are home and going to a cooler setting when you are away.

Did you face any challenges? If so, what was/is the biggest obstacle(s)? So far I have not face any challenges.

Any tips/advice for someone looking to be more eco-friendly? I would say just start off doing little things like recycling. Instead of using paper towels to dust use an old t-shirt. Instead of purchasing a calendar to hang on your wall take advantage of the calendar that comes in your cell phone or desktop/laptop computer.

Going green can be complex. This discourages a lot of people. There's really no "right" way it's basically trying to do something than nothing at all. I sometimes feel like a green hypocrite. Do you feel that way sometimes? I feel anyone can go green in some aspect of their life and it's nothing to stress over it's just a lifestyle change and change does not happen overnight.

You know I gotta ask, How long have you been natural and how do you keep it so FLY? I have been natural since July 2011 so almost 3 years! I just follow a simple hair regimen of which I implement every 7 to 14 days.

Is there anything you like to add? I just want to say thank you for featuring me and people can follow me at Natural Nicole
