Green Light- Cassandra

An eco-sista who loves being aware of her surroundings

How long have you been eco-friendly? I have always been pretty natural, but I became consciously aware in 2007

Why did you choose to be eco-friendly? I chose to be eco-friendly for a few different reasons, with the main reason being the safety of my children.

What do you like about it? I LOVE everything about being "aware" of my surroundings. This lifestyle really aids in appreciating all of the small things life has to offer. It brings a whole new level of living passionately and in peace.

Did you face any challenges? If so, what was/is the biggest obstacle(s)? I actually haven't faced any challenges. I live a pretty simple life, and once I decided to "go green" and eat plant based, everything flowed naturally. In my opinion there is nothing negative about living sustainably.

Any tips/advice for someone looking to be more eco-friendly? Follow your heart and intuition. Everyone's journey is different. It takes time. Start by removing/eliminating small things from your daily routine.

Going green can be complex. This discourages a lot of people. There's really no "right" way it's basically trying to do something than nothing at all. I sometimes feel like a green hypocrite. Do you feel that way sometimes? I try to stay away from anything that I feel the need to judge. Like I said earlier, everyone's journey is different. You have to be in the right mind set to change the way people were taught to live for the las 80-100 years.

You know I gotta ask, How long have you been natural and how do you keep it so FLY? I've been completely natural for the last 3-4 years. I've never been a big product junkie. As a child, my mother referred to baby oil or vaseline to treat any ailments haha! I love shopping in vintage stores. I collect pieces, and refurbish our furniture. This allows me to buy organic non-GMO food for my family. I usually don't wear make-up, but when I do, I make sure it's vegan cruelty-free brands.

Is there anything you like to add? Thank you for the interview love
