Want a healthy gut? Try eating some of these friendly foods that your gut will thank you for.
Miso- a fermented paste made from soybeans, barley, or rice malts. Used in most Japanese cooking. I haven't had one in a while but I love those miso soups.
Kombucha- I've heard so much about this but never tried it yet. It's a fermented tea that's been used for centuries. It's said to give more energy and helps with weight loss.
Kimchi- A spicy pickled cabbage (think sauerkraut). It's said to be the top dog of them all. This is a popular Korean side dish. Loaded with beta carotene, vitamins, and more.
I'm not a fan of sauerkraut but I'm liking this version of it
I made kimchi lettuce cups with shredded cheese and scallions
Also kimchi quesadilla with cheese topped with jalapeƱo peppers
I was outta control with this. This is something I can easily enjoy as part of Meatless Mondays. Looks like I have a new addition to my fridge. Hope my yogurt don't get jealous.
