Staying Hydrated



I started running a few months ago and I'm loving it. But, it is hot as hell outside and these mosquitoes won't leave me alone. Mosquito bites ain't no joke I can't stand them. Anyways, this is how I'm trying to stay hydrated this summer so I don't pass out.

First things first: Before I start my run or any vigorous activity I drink water. It helps to boost my energy so I won't be dehydrated.

No sugar, please: I'm not a fan of soda, sports drinks, and energy drinks. But, I'm getting bored with drinking water. So, for some flavor I make sort of flavored iced tea with what I have on hand at the time.

It's not over: Once my workout is over I don't stop drinking water. We need to drink between 6-8 glasses of water every day. It's an added bonus because drinking water won't dry my skin out.

BONUS: I'm also going to up my water intake by eating more fruits and veggies. Watermelons, cucumbers, celery, are just a few of what I'm upping.
