Aging Gracefully

I can't believe Iman is over 50 years old. She looks Ahh.May.Zing. I remember when I saw her in Micheal Jackson's "Remember the Time" video. My eyes were glued to her, I didn't blink. I was like what's your secret.

There's alot of talk going on whether she's had any work done. I don't know if it's true or not.  But she looks fabulous. That's that Black Don't Crack for ya. How many times have we heard that?

In some cases it is true that black don't crack. However, I hate to be a Debbie Downer but we shouldn't just run with that alone. I have seen some black cracking because of  unhealthy dieting, lack of exercise, stress, and many other factors. Yeah we are blessed to have beautiful flawless skin tones that some might envy. But we still need to take care of what was given to us naturally.

Some people pay ridiculously amounts of money just to reduce the signs of aging. Going under the knife is nowhere on my agenda. I plan to age gracefully just by eating right, exercising, and whatever necessary to help me age naturally. My skin may not be perfect but I'm doing something right. I'm always being carded. I don't know if I should be ecstatic or I need to step up my "Grown Woman" swag.

I remember when I bought one of those sparkling juices that comes in the glass bottles. I was at the checkout line and you know how the screen pops up to ask for ID when it's an alcoholic drink. Well, mines wasn't an alcoholic drink and the cashier asked me for my ID. I had to tell her I didn't have any alcohol. It wasn't a big deal for me but it had me thinking.

I'm well on my way to aging gracefully. Move over Iman you not gonna be the only one looking fabulous at 50.
