Baking Soda

I'm a huge fan of products that pull multiple duties. Baking soda happens to be one of those prducts. It's cheap does all that and then some. Here's some of my uses.

  • Deodorize refrigerator
  • Use with toothpaste to whiten my teeth
  • Ingredient in my bentonite face mask mixture
  • Clean toilet bowl and various places in bathroom/kitchen
  • Laundry to brighten wash and eliminate odors

You can also use it to keep flowers fresh longer by adding a teaspoon of baking soda to it. Wish I'd knew that earlier. My poinsettia would be alive and well today.

This article  was an eye opener. Talks about baking soda in a way I've never thought of before. I don't know what to believe.

  1. why do you put it in your face mask? I've never heard of using baking soda in beauty applications outside of on the hair (which I didn't like for myself).

Also, I always thought (still do, actually) that the baking soda toothpaste had the best flavor, lol.

  2. I didn't like it for my hair either but I found a recipe online for acne which I suffer from and so far so good
