Green Light- Joy

An eco-vet who was always consciuos of the earth. You go girl!!!!

How long have you been eco-friendly? I have been eco-friendly since 2005

Why did you choose to be eco-friendly? I was always conscience of treating the Earth better. It was easier to do as an adult.

What do you like about it? I like being eco-friendly because it feels great knowing that you can make a change even if it is a small one.

Did you face any challnges? If so, what was/is your biggest obstacle(s)? I think my biggest challenge was to stop paying the expensive prices for safe cleaning products and look into making my own. Making my own too awhile but I got the hang of it and finally got my mixtures exactly how I want them!

Any tips advice for someone looking to be more eco-friendly?  I would tell them to not get sucked into the high priced cleaning supplies. All the cleaning supplies you need are already in your cabinet. For example vinegar, baking soda and lemon juice.

Going green can be complex. Which discourages alot of people. There's no "right" way it's basically trying to do something than nothing at all. I sometimes feel like a green hypocrite. Do you feel that way sometimes? I do not feel that way anymore but I did when I first started. I used to beat myself up if I threw something in the trash that could have been recycled. It is now second nature to recycle. It was harder to do when I had to sort everything out. Now that our town has recycling, you can throw everything into the recycle bin without sorting it.

You know I gotta ask, How long have you been natural and how do you keep it so FLY? I have been natural since 2000 and heatfree since 2007. SInce being natural, I have an inner self confidence that I would have died for in my teen years!

Is there anything you like to add? Do your own research when it comes to the health of your hair or trying to live more Earth friendly. It is great to look at every YouTube video but do your own leg work and find out what works for you and your household.
