Genius is of small use to a woman who does not know how to do her hair.

I went 100% natural in the summer of 2009. I stopped relaxing years before and had no clue how to take care of my hair. Hence the name cluelesscurl. Google, bloggers, and youtube quickly became my BFF. Oh the things I've learned. I was floored to learn all I had to do was look in my kitchen. Still haven't found my holy grail yet. It's a work in progress. At times it can be a love/hate relationship. But, I'm glad I took the necessary steps to having a healthy head of hair. To keep me motivated I look at pictures of other naturals. Natural hair is so versatile and beautiful.

Blogger/graphic designer/comedian/actress/singer/all-around fabulous lady, Franchesca, in Rockefeller Center. I reblogged her on the very first week of le coil so I was stoked to finally photograph her for the site!

Andrea (graphic designer, blogger, le coil all-star) recently launched I Love My Hair, an online boutique where you can (finally!) purchase prints of her the coil-centric designs.

Loving artist Rachel Stewart’s whole look (say yes to fros & eyeliner)! Check out her artwork and cute accessories collection, Target Queen.
